(WK-intern) – CWind, a leading provider of services to the offshore wind industry, is expanding its services in the operations and maintenance phase of offshore wind farms.
The company, which has supported the construction of close to 20 offshore wind farms over the last four years, has announced the appointment of Tim Smith as Sales Manager.
Mr Smith joins CWind from Fendercare Marine, part of James Fisher and Sons plc, where he held the position of Business Development Manager for the past four years. His appointment to the new position at CWind will help drive the company’s expansion plans in the operations & maintenance field.
He will be responsible for building relationships with existing and potential clients in the UK and Germany, targeting specifically offshore O&M contracts for both vessels and technicians. CWind is already a leading provider of crew transfer vessels and technicians during the construction phase of and is keen to build on this and strengthen its presence in the O&M market.
Peter Jorgensen, Managing Director at CWind, said: “Tim knows our market very well given his many years in the industry.
